The Zionsville Fire Department & Interactive Academy Partner Up for EMS Training

The Zionsville Fire Department has partnered with the staff of Interactive Academy to provide foam pit rescue training. This training is done to help the firefighters become more proficient with the safety systems in place at the facility. Foam pits are placed below certain gymnastics equipment to help minimize injuries and provide a low impact landing. They can be difficult to move around in if you have never done so. This was a proactive measure by Interactive Academy to help the firefighters to practice negotiating the foam pits in a controlled environment and to be more prepared if an actual need should ever occur.
