Zionsville Police Department is currently accepting applications for full-time patrol officers through April 15, 2017.

The physical agility and written testing will take place on Saturday, April 29 at 9 a.m. and will last into the afternoon. Further testing information will be available once a fully completed application has been received.

Zionsville Police Department currently employees 29 full-time sworn police officers. The manpower is spread between the Uniformed Services Division and the Criminal Investigations Division. The Uniformed Services Division is responsible for traffic and criminal patrol, calls of citizen complaints, and also ensuring the general safety of the town and it’s people. The Criminal Investigations Division is responsible for the investigation of any crimes committed and reported within the town.

Minimum Qualifications:

1.  Must be a high school graduate

2. Shall possess an Indiana Driver’s License or have the ability to obtain one if a conditional offer of employment is extended

3. Shall be a U.S. Citizen

4. Shall be at least 21 years of age, and not have reached age 36 by date of hire

5. If offered a position, candidate must obtain residence within a contiguous county to Boone County, Indiana

2016 Salary and Benefits:

*Salary Increases and Base Pay are determined by yearly performance evaluations

Probationary Officer: (<1 Year Experience) – $46,073.00

Patrolman I:  (1-2 Years Experience) – $51,192.22

Patrolman II: (2+ Years Experience) – $56,858.17
