Zionsville Butterfly Trail

June 1 - August 31

Zionsville is often called a town within a park with over 500 acres of parks, many of which remain in their natural habitats. Along with preserving and restoring our native wetlands, forest and prairie habitats, Zionsville is committed to supporting the monarch butterfly and other native pollinators and an active member of the National Wildlife Federation Mayors Monarch Pledge Leadership Circle.

The Zionsville Butterfly Trail returns this summer. Visitors search for and take photos with the unique wings found in several parks and at businesses around the community. Each set of wings will be painted and designed by local artists.

Call for artist submissions due March 10 (click here for form)

Zionsville Parks and Recreation and its community partners offer free nature, art, cultural and recreational programs during this ten-day long event. Zionsville Nature Play Days is in partnership with Indiana Children and Nature Network.
