Due to a very concentrated period of leaf fall, compounded by one of the town’s three leaf vacuum trailers needing extensive service work, curbside collection of leaves for residents in the urban service district has been longer between rounds than in the past. In order to service all residents as well as possible, this service will continue through the week of December 10, if not longer.
The Town of Zionsville’s Street & Stormwater Department will be providing curbside leaf collection for residents in the Zionsville urban district this fall. The Department asks for the following courtesies:
Leaf collection begins Monday, Oct. 22, 2018 and runs through Friday, Dec. 7, 2018. This could be extended to mid-December if necessary and weather permits. There is no set schedule or particular day for leaf collection as the volume of leaves placed for collection cannot be controlled or predicted, and therefore the service varies each week. Every attempt is made to make a complete round through every neighborhood each week, but during heavy times the service may extend to bi-weekly.
This service provides Zionsville residents in the urban district a means to dispose of leaves.
