How do you get started?
Talk with your neighbors to generate interest in neighborhood Watch. Contact the Zionsville Police Department’s Crime Prevention Unit and request to speak with your neighborhood’s Crime Prevention Officer to plan an initial Neighborhood Watch meeting. At your initial meeting, the Crime Prevention Officer will explain the Neighborhood Watch philosophy and program to your neighbors. The Watch Coordinator will solicit volunteers to help as Block Captains and make a plan for contacting those neighbors who did not attend the meeting. The phone tree can also be started at this meeting.
