Tom Schuler joined the Town Council in 2012. He has lived in Zionsville since 2000 and is the chief financial officer of XLerate Group, an automobile auction chain.
“I believe that a strong community is based on great neighborhoods, and I’m happy to meet with home owners’ associations in my district and throughout the town,” he says. That belief inspires his service on the council and his role as president of the Fox Hollow home owners’ association.
He is a member of the Zionsville Lions Club and formerly sat on its board. He also volunteers for Z’Sparkle Party Drag Race to End Alzheimer’s, the annual charity event that features local guys who slip on dresses, collect donations and run down Main Street to raise awareness and fund Alzheimer’s research.
Schuler and his wife, Carol, have two children who attend Zionsville Community Schools. He has been a booster for the Zionsville Community High School girls’ golf and basketball teams and the Zionsville Swim Club. He has also served as a volunteer youth sports coach and a Boy Scouts volunteer.
He is a graduate of Harvard University, where he was a member of the football and track teams. He received his MBA from the University of California, Los Angeles.
