The Town of Zionsville, a progressive, growing community immediately northwest of Indianapolis is seeking a qualified candidate to assist the IT Director in all areas pertaining to the current computer systems and to set up, maintain and service in-house IT systems for the Town.
Working with a minimum of direction under the IT Director and Police Chief, this position is responsible for all aspects of the I.T. systems primarily at the Municipal Services Building.
Coordinate all building computer (IT) issues
Direct repair and maintenance of all computer systems and peripheral components
Establish staff training and provide technical assistance
Keep all required inventory and fixed asset records for building
Install and perform maintenance on all computer equipment as necessary
Maintain Police website as component of the Town website
Seek continuing education or training to extent required to retain existing professional skills
Responsible for day to day requirements for I.T. systems, as well as work outside of normal business hours (including weekends)
Demonstrated technical knowledge of all IT and communications hardware and operating systems
Minimum HS education + advanced training in the operation and use of IT hardware and operations
Minimum 2 years increasingly responsible, relevant work experience
Must submit to polygraph as condition of employment and other times by necessity
Must pass background check and sign confidentiality agreement
Must be able to: use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, controls; use a computer or sit/stand for extended periods of time; able to lift/move up to 50 lbs.
