Park Programs

The Zionsville Park and Recreation Department offers a limited number of programs to the public. Many additional programs are available through the private facilities and local organizations. Program offerings by the Zionsville Parks Department include:

1. General-play tee times, golf lessons, and league play can be scheduled at the park department’s Zionsville Golf Course. Pro-shop is located at 10799 E, 550 S; Phone, 317-873-4218.

2. For info about environmental education programming at our nature center or in our parks, click Zion Nature Center

3. Bicycle Rodeo & Family Fun Ride every May, starting at Elm Street Green Park.

4. Garden Plots, tilled, 20′x20′ plots available for reservation by the public. Contact us at 733-2273 for cost or other information.

Thanks to the active nature of the Zionsville population and the cooperative spirit of the community, many recreational programs are available from a variety of sources which supplement the Parks Department offerings.

Other Recreational Offerings:

1. Swimming lessons, competitive swim teams, and lifesaving instruction through the Azionaqua Swim Club.

2. For children aged 5-18, arts and crafts, woodworking, T-ball, youth basketball, games, and computers at the Boy’s and Girl’s Club.

3. Instructional soccer camps, fall and spring soccer league play, sponsored by the Zionsville Youth Soccer Association.

4. Youth football league play by the Zionsville Youth Football League.

5. Baseball and softball for youths by the Zionsville Little League.

6. For gardeners and nature lovers, the Village Garden Club (317-873-5743) offers interesting programs and trips.

7. Youth competitive swimming offered by the Zionsville Swim Club.

8. Summer Day Camp for children at Lions Club Park, sponsored by the Y. M. C. A.

9. Other clubs offering opportunities in the Zionsville area include Boone County 4-H club, Boy Scout Troop 358, Cub Scout Pack 358, and Girl Scouts (Daisies, Brownies, Juniors/Cadets/Seniors).
