Stormwater Ordinance and Technical Standards Manual
The Town of Zionsville’s Stormwater Ordinance and Technical Standards Manual establish requirements for water quantity and water quality for new development, redevelopment and other construction projects located within the consolidated area of Zionsville. The ordinance also contains provisions prohibiting certain types of connections and discharges of pollutants and other problematic materials to the stormwater drainage system.

New development, redevelopment and other construction projects regulated by the Ordinance must apply for a Stormwater Permit from the Town. The Stormwater Permit application is available below.
Rule 5 Erosion Control and Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)
Officially known as 327 IAC 15-5, “Rule 5″ requires that any construction resulting in a land disturbance of one (1) acre or more develop a Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan and apply for a Storm Water Permit from the permitting body. Within the Town of Zionsville, the permitting body is the Town itself, and the Stormwater Permit is designed to meet the minimum requirements of Rule 5.
