Policies

In 2022, the Zionsville Police Department became just the 15th municipal agency in Indiana to earn accreditation through CALEA. This requires the department to adhere to internationally accepted best practices as they pertain to policy and procedures.

The Zionsville Police Department Policy Manual is available for public review by clicking here. It is important to note that policies and orders are frequently reviewed and updated to keep current with new laws, training and best practices. It is possible that a policy that you are viewing is currently under review and subject to changes by the department.

The CALEA public access portal is now available for public comment. This is provided as an opportunity for comments, commendations, and other information regarding our agency's quality of service or other information relevent to the accreditation process.
