Saturday, July 20 - Raising Leafcutters

Want to harvest more tomatoes, peppers, squash, and peas from your garden this year? Raise gentle, solitary leafcutter bees! These gentle, summer hole-nesting bees are the superheroes of the bee world. They are 100 times more effective at pollination than honey bees but they won’t sting you, they don't make honey, and they require very little care. Heather Harvey from Bees Gone Wild will show you everything you need to know to get started with these powerful pollinators. She will discuss the bees’ lifecycle, how to raise them, and how to provide them with nesting habitat.
