Step Into Spring Walking Spree
April 1 - May 31, 2022
Enjoy your Zionsville Parks on flat, easy trails - good for strollers, wheelchairs, walkers and canes. This inclusive walking spree has no required mileage amount, but mileage markers will be posted at 1/8, 1/4 and 1/2 mile intervals.
Those who finish 6 trails (same trail 6 times or different trails) can claim their prize and are entered into the Step into Spring grand prize drawing. Group walking programs led by Zionsville Parks and Recreation will run in conjunction with the walking spree, and wellness tips will be posted on the Zionsville Parks and Recreation Facebook Page throughout the event.
Registration for this year's spree is not closed.
You will receive a welcome email as well as walking spree information and walk tracking sheet.

Barns and Brews

Enjoy a summer evening down on the farm. Join the Zionsville Parks and Recreation Department for a 21+ fundraising event for Maplelawn Farmstead.
Each Barns and Brews evening will highlight a different speaker and local brewery, all within the setting of the beautiful Maplelawn Farmstead. After the evening presentation there will be time to mingle with friends around the fire, enjoy a few beverages, and tour the historic barns and homesite. The evening includes photo opportunities, yard games, and great conversations.

Nature Play Days
June 4 - 21, 2022
The goal of Nature Play Days is to get kids outside and remind families that nature play is import and can happen close to home. Zionsville Parks and Recreation, and its community partners offer free nature, art, cultural and recreation programs during this nine-day long event.

Zionsville Butterfly Trail
June 1 – July 31, 2022
In Celebration of Zionsville Nature Center 20th Anniversary and NWF Mayors Monarch Pledge Leadership Circle
Presented by Zionsville Parks Foundation
This summer large-scale butterfly wings, painted by local artists, with be on display in various community locations throughout Zionsville.
This project was inspired by our town’s commitment to The National Wildlife Federation Mayor’s Monarch Pledge and a celebration of our conservation and environmental education efforts.

Arts in the Park
Opportunity to showcase different artistic expressions and talents here in Zionsville
Join the parks this summer at Mulberry Fields as we celebrate a variety of different artistic mediums and talents including.
Saturday, August 6 – Bongo Boys
- 2 – 3 pm
Community drum circles are tailored and facilitated for families, couples and single dude & dudettes. We encourage adults with drumming experience to keep the groove alive while providing opportunities for families to play together in a fun, safe and creative way. Experienced drummers are always welcome!! Drums will be provided but feel free to bring your own.
Tuesday, August 9 – Art meets Health
- 6 – 7:30 pm
- Yoga provided by Blooming Life Yoga
Bring out the entire family for Yoga in the Park (provide your own mat) and Martial Art demonstrations as we explore the beautiful integration of art, body movement and health.
Saturday, August 13 – Park Paint Out!
- 1 – 3 pm
Join us as we transform blank canvas into a beautiful work of art with the help of the community. No prior painting experience required. Smaller canvases will be available for little artists to take home with them.
Tuesday, August 16 – Open Mic in the Park
- 6 – 8 pm
Whether your just starting out, testing out some new tunes or looking for an open stage grab your musical instruments and head over for our first ever Open Mic in the Park. We encourage family friendly music only. Audience members to enjoy the performances are needed as well.

Creekfest is a celebration of Eagle Creek through recreation, stewardship and education and features activities for all ages. The annual Stream Cleanup is central component of Creekfest. Featured activities for all ages include a stream cleanup, kayak demonstrations, DNR Backyard Bass Casting Station, Creekstomp for Kids, educational booths and more. Parking at Creekfest will be limited at Elm Street Green so carpooling, cycling or walking is strongly encouraged.
