ZPD is currently working to earn accreditation with the Commission on Accreditation for Law Enforcement Agencies (CALEA) – a highly prized recognition of public safety professional excellence. CALEA will be virtually present with ZPD to examine all aspects of the ZPD's policies and procedures, management, operations and support services. As part of the on-site assessment, agency employees and the Zionsville community are invited to offer comments at a virtual public information session on June 6, 2022 beginning at 5 p.m. For Zoom meeting information, contact Accreditation Manager Sergeant Josh Samuelson at jsamuelson@zionsville-in.gov or (317) 873-5967. Community members may elect to listen only or schedule a time to address the assessors. Please contact Sergeant Samuelson by Friday, June 3, 2022. If an individual cannot speak at the public information session but would still like to provide comments to the assessment team, please call (317) 873-5967 on June 6, 2022 from 1 – 3 p.m.
