Reindeer Encounter

Look who’s dropped by for Winterfest opening weekend. Santa’s reindeer will be on hand for a chance to make new holiday memories. Then join us in the holiday village to make environmentally friendly reindeer food (while supplies last) sure to attract them to your home this holiday season. Reindeer Encounter and craft are made possible thanks to the Zionsville Parks Foundation.

Nature Ornaments

Looking for ways to celebrate the holiday season? Visit the Zionsville Nature Center this weekend to make some nature-inspired ornaments. Perfect for gifts, or to decorate your tree and start a new family tradition. Drop in anytime between 12 – 4 p.m. to create one of each ornament offered.

Winterfest

Presented by CENTURY 21 Scheetz An Outdoor Ice Skating Event Imagine an old-fashioned winter…rosy-cheeked skaters gliding under twinkling lights. Warming frosty fingers around a steaming mug of cocoa, the laughter of children, the aroma of a crackling fire. The magic of holiday events and carolers and the spirit of everyone’s favorite season. Get ready to lace up a pair of skates and make your way to our new outdoor ice skating rink. There is something for everyone in the family to enjoy at our first ever month-long event. Winterfest will take place from December 10 through January 2, 2022 at Mulberry Fields Park. Enjoy ice skating, food vendors, a holiday village, park programming, sledding and more.

Snowy Jar Luminaries

Create faux snow-covered jar luminaries for the holiday season. Perfect for decorating your holiday mantle, dining room table or give as gifts. Drop in a battery-operated tea light and watch them glow. While you craft enjoy a warm beverage, music and good conversation. This event will take place in one of our shelters with temporary walls, so plan to dress for the elements. Registration is CLOSED Ages: 12 & up

Campfire & S'mores

Relax with family and friends around a crackling campfire. Bring a story to share or a song to sing as you roast marshmallows or enjoy a beverage or bite to eat from our food truck vendors. Campfire & S’mores will be offered on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays throughout Winterfest. S’mores kits will be available for purchase on site for $5.
