Are cans of paint accepted if dried out?: No, cans of paint are not accepted. Latex paint is non-toxic and should be allowed to dry out until it is non-liquid (cat litter helps). Once dried out, place it in a trash bag in your residential curbside trash. Oil-based paint is accepted during the semi-annual Tox Drop Collection events hosted by the Boone County Solid Waste Management District.
